I started my career as a machine learning researcher at Jaguar Land Rover, then moved into operations and management consulting at a UK firm built on an idea I believed in deeply: clients didn't pay until we saw measurable impact on their P&L.
It worked. We delivered real results for real businesses — food manufacturers, retailers, distributors, the NHS — and the fees were always tied to outcomes we could prove. That integrity was the foundation.
Over time, the company started to drift away from those principles. The promises got softer. The focus shifted from outcomes to revenue. It didn't fit with my values on integrity, so I left to start my own thing.
Gathered Consulting exists to carry that original principle forward: fees guaranteed against results. If the work I do doesn't materially improve your performance, I keep going for free. I'm not interested in being paid for work that sounds good but doesn't deliver.
